EDUCATION

NACM Southwest working in unison with the National Institute of Credit (NIC) provides members with a variety of educational seminars, workshops, and classes in all phases and levels of credit management.

NACM Southwest assists NIC in the administration of the only National Credentialing Program developed for the business credit community. Professional designations include CBA (Certified Business Associate) at the supervisory level, CBF (Certified Business Fellow) at the management level and CCE (Certified Credit Executive) at the senior management level. NACM Southwest is dedicated to assisting its members to achieve recognition as professionals in the truest sense of the word.

LEGISLATION

NACM Government Affairs Department on both state and national levels continually makes members' views known to representatives in Washington D.C. and Austin. Through a permanent government affairs representative in Washington, NACM works to enact better laws and to modify and repeal state and federal laws affecting credit and finance. The NACM Legislative Conference, held in Washington, gives credit executives an opportunity to take NACM's message directly to their Congressional Representatives and Senators.

NATIONAL SERVICES

NACM's Annual Convention and Exposition brings members together where education and exposure to the latest technological developments form the foundation of the program. Attendees earn credit towards professional certification.

The Credit Research Foundation includes development of concepts and information that enable credit executives to review and report on credit and accounts receivable administration.

The NACM Government Receivables Department provides a forum for members who are interested in the practice of credit and collections for goods and services sold to governments, particularly the federal government. Seminars and account discussions are held on a quarterly basis.

Additional services include FCIB (Finance, Credit and International Business) and the Loss Prevention Department (tracks potential abusers of business credit). NACM offers for sale a carefully selected library of publications to meet the reference needs of credit and financial management professionals.
